YouTuber and social media mogul Tyler Oakley drops by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to chat about the Oscars, The Amazing Race, pop culture and Face Swap, the latest silly app, on Snapchat.
Oakley stopped by The Tonight Show and talked about his encounter with Lady Gaga, his idol, at the Vanity Fair Oscar Red Carpet Party where he had hosting duties. Oakley shared, “She’s my ultimate No. 1. I’d take a bullet for her.” He explained Lady Gaga knew who he was and added, “That was just, like, unexpected. Not embarrassing, but just, like, my queen knows who I am.”

Fallon who is a big fame of The Amazing Race asked Oakley about this season and the cast being compiled of all social media influencers. Oakley not allowed to say much since The Amazing Race is still airing did share his experience on being tuned out and unplugged from pop cultural events such as the new Adele album. Oakley during challenges would ask strangers, “Have you heard the new Adele album?”
The 26-year old Social Media Influencer, Tyler Oakley has risen to fame from starting his YouTube channel in his dorm room and today, it has 9 million plus subscribers and over 550 million views. Besides being a popular YouTube personality, Oakley is also known for his podcast, humorist, author, and activist. He has been dedicated to several causes such as LGBT youth, LGBT rights, as well as social issues including healthcare, education and the prevention of suicide among LGBT youth. Oakley regularly posts content on various topics, including gay politics, pop culture and humor. He has won awards from Teen Choice, 2014 Streamy, 10th Annual Podcast, and the Trevor Youth Innovator Award.
