Singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes who rose to fame from Vine kicked off his headlining world tour on Saturday, March 5th with a sold-out concert at New York City’s legendary Radio City Music Hall.
Shawn is touring behind the success of his platinum debut album Handwritten. Shawn surprised fans with sneak peeks of 3 unreleased new songs from his forthcoming sophomore album.

The tour will hit 39 cities in 12 different countries and run through August 2016 (see below for full list of dates).
Shawn is currently in the studio recording the follow-up to Handwritten with Grammy-nominated producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran’s “+” & “x” albums).
Shawn has attracted a surge of media attention around the release of Handwritten, including a People’s Choice Award win for ‘Favorite Breakthrough Artist’ in addition to winning multiple Teen Choice awards, MTV Europe Music awards and Much Music awards. Shawn has also achieved a run of consecutive hit singles with “Life of The Party” (RIAA platinum),“Something Big” (RIAA platinum), “Stitches” (RIAA 4x-platinum), and most recently “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (RIAA platinum). “Stitches” topped singles charts at #1 in the U.S., UK and Germany and reached Top 10 on iTunes singles charts in over 70 countries worldwide.
The crossover Vine Star Shawn Mendes scored 4 nominations for the Canadian music award show, Juno Awards, which is set for April 3 on CTV. He has been nominated in categories: Juno Fan Choice Award, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year. In January 2016, he made his first appearance on a Forbes list with their annual “30 Under 30.” He recently signed with the major modeling agency, Wilhelmina Models.
