YouTube Pop star Megan Nicole signs onto Netflix’s animated kids’ series Popples, to lend her music and voice.

Megan Nicole will make her animated debut as Squeaky Pop in the episode Fallen Pop Idol in season two of Popples and will lend her voice to original song Together With My Friends. The show’s second season will premiere on Netflix, March 11.

The 22-year-old YouTube pop star has 3.4 million subscribers on her channel, Megan Nicole Site, attracting fans with her pop cover hits since 2009. Her first cover song she uploaded to start her rise to fame, Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. Nicole has done versions of songs from artists by; Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Lorde. Plus, she has several collaborations with fellow YouTube artists such as Tiffany Alvord, Alyssa Bernal, Madilyn Bailey, Tyler Ward, Dave Days, Conor Maynard and Lindsey Stirling. Nicole and Stirling’s cover of Nicki Manaj’s Starship garnered close to 12 million views. The Texas native starred in Relativity Digital Studios’ musical film Summer Forever and her debut album Escape on Hume Records released last year.

Popples follows the adventures of four friends, best Popple pals; Sunny, Lulu, Izzy, and Yikes, who are colorful creatures that can pop into a ball and are prone to misadventures in their city of Popplopolis. In Fallen Pop Idol, Squeaky Pop comes to Popplopolis for a concert.

Nicole fans can download Together With My Friends digitally via iTunes and Amazon starting today. The singer plans to release her newest single, Mascara, on March 11 via YouTube.
