Facebook Star Matt Bellassai is the latest digital video star to sign with CAA. Bellassai is a writer at Buzzfeed for BFF and mostly works on their Twitter and Tumbler accounts. The 25-year-old Chicago-native is widely known for his hilarious show that he wrote, produced, and starred in Whine About It, where he discuss everyday issues while drinking wine.
The Whine About It Facebook page has more than 1.5M followers and it is also featured on Buzzfeed’s YouTube Channel, After Party. Bellassai has gained huge popularity on his Twitter, Tumbler, and Instagram accounts. In 2016, he was voted, “Favorite Social-Media Star” by the People’s Choice Awards. Bellassai’s social influencer status has him rising among the highest rankings of social stars. His social media platforms in combined have been viewed more than 125M times in the past six months according to The Video Ink.
CAA has been expanding into the digital entertainment space with recent signings that include; Vine stars Logan Paul, Hayes Grier and Liza Koshy, YouTuber Yousef Saleh Erakat aka fouseyTUBE and Instagram comic Josh Ostrovsky.
