Digital media Vine star Nash Grier has left WME to sign with UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
The 18-year-old rose to fame on Vine, where he has 12.5 million followers and his micro-videos have been viewed (or “looped”) more than 3.35 billion times. His other current social media tallies include 8.8 million Instagram followers, 5.4 million on Twitter and 4.7 million subscribers on YouTube.
UTA will work with Grier in all areas as the digital media personality continues to expand into acting and branding. He recently starred alongside fellow Viner Cameron Dallas in the high school baseball drama The Outfield, which was produced by multichannel network Fullscreen and released online in November. And companies including Aeropostale, Nordstrom, M&Ms and Aquafina have leveraged his popularity among millennials – he was named one of THR’s Top 25 Digital Stars last year as well as Time’s 30 Most Influential People on the Internet in 2015 and its 25 Most Influential Teens the year before – for endorsement deals.
Grier continues to be managed by Melinda Morris Zanoni and her team at Legacy Talent and Entertainment.
