YouTube personality and digital entrepreneur Grace Helbig has done it again with her latest book Grace & Style to hit the Top Ten New York Times Bestseller list.
Helbig’s tongue-in-cheek book, Grace & Style – The Art of Pretending You Have It covers style, fashion and a beauty guide while offering practical advice in Helbig’s quirky delivery. The YouTuber megastar shares the top ten with New Year’s Resolution by JJ Smith, The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, and two books by best-selling author Marie Kondo with The Live Changing Magic of Tidying Up and Spark Joy.
An offbeat quote from Helbig on publisher Simon & Schuster’s website best describes Grace & Style, “Trust me, I’m not stylish. I’m self-aware. I’m not polished, I’m perceptive. I’m not trendy, I’m trying. I LOVE fashion and style as much as the next lady, man, or French bulldog, but telling people how they should look doesn’t suit me. I know I have no authority in that department (I barely even shop in department stores). Instead, this is a look at my own silly and yet practical approach to style (don’t worry, I’ve already been restricted to no more than two chapters on sweatpants).”
Grace’s Guide is Helbig’s first book to reach number one on the New York Times bestseller list in 2014. To do it again, in 2016, proves the social star’s power has successfully crossed over to traditional media.
Helbig’s is a comedian, actress, YouTube personality, and host of The Grace Helbig Show on E!. She previously hosted DailyGrace on My Damn Channel, before leaving in January 2014 to create her own YouTube channel, it’sGrace. The popularity of her YouTube channel led her to created a partnership with Fullscreen. Today, her YouTube channel has more than 2.8 million subscribers and 170 million views. Helbig is the executive producer and star of the feature film Camp Takota. She is the winner of the People’s Voice Webby Award for Best First Person Format and the Streamy Award for Personality of the Year and Best First-Person Series. Helbig has been named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch, Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business, and Forbes’s 30 under 30.
